(Courtesy of the site) The purpose of this site and related resources is to serve you in your journey to and with God. If you are like many Catholics who desire a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church, you have probably discovered that the paths to pursuing that relationship are not always clearly illuminated. Thus this humble effort. Desire of authors of this site is to bring greater light to His path and to serve you in your search for greater depth in Him.

That said, no blog, book, or retreat can take the place of healthy Spiritual Direction. Instead, these tools help us form healthy perspectives and improve our opportunities to grow in faith and to participate in the important work of our journey to God.

What you will find on the site:
  • Questions and Answers about Spiritual Direction
  • Perspective on Spiritual Direction
  • Perspective on Prayer and other Matters Relating to Our Spiritual Growth
  • Book and Resource Reviews
  • Links to Resources for Further Spiritual Development
The source of the content will come from several places:

Dan Burke - Dan is the founder of the Catholic Spiritual Direction apostolate. He has a passion to know Christ and to help others to come to more fully know the depths and riches of His love and grace. Dan provides perspective on spiritual direction and related topics and manages all aspects of this effort and this site. Dan’s perspective on prayer and spiritual direction is primarily informed by the Carmelite tradition and the spiritual doctors of the Church. Click here to watch Dan’s testimony from EWTN’s Journey Home program. Send him an e-mail at RCSpiritualDirection@gmail.com if you are interested in having him provide a talk on his conversion, prayer, or the spiritual life. More about Dan and his speaking engagements.

Father John Bartunek, LC, ThD – Father John provides a steady flow of profound and practical answers to questions on the spiritual life along with weekly meditations from his book, The Better Part – A Christ-Centered Resource for Personal Prayer. Father John gets the most space on this blog because he is an extraordinary writer and communicator on any topic relating to the life of faith.

Other Priests, Spiritual Directors, and Authors: This site has a handful of other fantastic writers who contribute to the blog, even posthumously. It also features writings from other blogs and perspectives as they determine that they further their mission to serve you in deepening your faith.

Web Design – The website was designed by the magnificent Tim Norton of 6WebDesign, LLC.
