About This Blog

This blog represents Roman Catholics who wish to understand more their Catholic faith and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church to help know more about what we believe in. It is a small contribution of a typical Catholic Blogger to the Mother Church. It is her prayer and wish that the viewers will journey with her in discovering the richness of the Catholic faith as she shares her researches, what she read in books and listened from lectures on Biblical and Catechetical Catholic Apologetics she is attending. This blog is just a little drop, but may Jesus create ripples through it, more than big waves can.

The Blogger of this site (www.theessencebyluisa.blogspot.com) is not a theologian, but just an ordinary typical Catholic who is not concerned with the Church before. But along her faith walk, Jesus is gradually making her discover the richness of the Catholic faith and the teachings of the Church.

Scott Hahn (http://iamacatholicbyheart.blogspot.com/p/conversion-stories.html), was ones a Protestant who was out to get Catholics and convert them to be saved. But God did a major turn around in his life and he was converted to Catholicism. From then on, he was zealous in awakening the Catholics inside the Church and in defending the faith. In his book 'Rome Sweet Home,' he wrote:

"How sweet it is to be home in the Roman Catholic Church!
...For our Catholic brothers and sisters,
we want to encourage and challenge you to learn the Catholic Faith,
which has been entrusted to you as a sacred heritage.
For your own sake - and for others -
study it so that you come to know
what you believe and why you believe it.
We need more contagious Catholics!
...Catholics who cultivate prayer, study and
a sacramental lifestyle must also become active apostles
wherever they find themselves: at home, on the job, in the marketplace,
but especially with family and friends."

This blog is a small contribution of the blogger to the Mother Church hoping to get through to the viewers of the appeal, not only of Scott Hahn, but of the Pope, Bishops, the Clergy to lay people like the Blogger.

Dear Catholics, you need Mother Church, the Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, and Mother Church needs you, too. At this present age and time where so many distractions exist, where so many youths and adults alike are misled, all Catholics in the whole world must come together as one family, helping to strengthen and keep alive and enflamed the Church that Jesus Himself built. Come together for Jesus by learning the richness of your faith - that together you may live it in your life and share it to your family, friends and brethrens for their own sake...and for the universal Bride of Jesus.

Small acts of love of each Catholic for the sake of the Mother Church and the faith, by the grace of God, this can create beautiful ripples beyond what the human mind can imagine. As Scott Hahn said, "We need more contagious Catholics!" With love for God, neighbor, and self, may many listen to this call....
